The Domestic Abuse Prevention Scholarship

The attorneys at Ashby Law are dedicated to helping families through some of the toughest situations they face. In many family law cases, domestic violence is somehow involved. This may not be a pleasant topic, but it is a topic that needs to be addressed. Our attorneys see the effects of domestic violence first hand in our work and we want to do more to bring attention to this issue and address what should be done.

The Domestic Abuse Prevention Scholarship is being implemented to recognize students for taking an active role in the fight against domestic violence. In a 750 word essay, explain whether or not you believe that the United States has adequate legislation in place to protect survivors of domestic abuse. If not, explain how legislation can be improved. The student who most effectively explains their stance on this topic will be awarded $1,000 to help them pursue their educational goals.
