Founding partner Larry Eisenberg is an accomplished lawyer, providing over 30 years of passionate legal representation for clients facing serious personal injury cases. In 2014, Attorney Eisenberg was awarded the Litigator Award by the Trial Lawyers Board of Regents as a member of the top 1 percent of Attorneys Nationwide in Personal Injury, Wrongful Death & Medical Malpractice.

In conjunction with Attorney Eisenberg’s work as a personal injury lawyer, Eisenberg & Associates is dedicated to protecting and ensuring the good of the community and each of its diverse members. We understand that everyone has goals and dreams, and that it is vital to encourage all in pursuing education and self-improvement, regardless of socioeconomic circumstances.

The Law Offices of Eisenberg & Associates has a long and proud history of representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries, and we are intimately familiar with the challenges they face, which often include prejudice and discrimination.

Basic human rights such as accessible housing and the right to work are hindered by these prejudiced and discriminatory practices. While public policies have been put into place to help mitigate some of these practices, they often do not go far enough.

With this in mind, we are proud to launch the Eisenberg & Associates Justice for the Disabled Scholarship. This scholarship is to help raise awareness of the discrimination against those with disabilities or who have suffered catastrophic injuries, and to encourage students to challenge this discrimination in a practical manner.

The scholarship will award $500 to a student who puts forth a thoughtful, practical, and well-reasoned analysis of the issues those with disabilities face due to discriminatory practices, and how a new public policy could better challenge these unjust practices.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria:
This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.
The scholarship candidate must possess an interest in social justice, as demonstrated by past and present volunteer, professional, and educational experiences.
All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Application Requirements:
An updated resumé.
A completed application cover sheet.
A 750-word essay responding to the following prompt: Those with disabilities, or those who have suffered catastrophic injuries often face prejudice and discrimination. What are some practical public policies that could address this discrimination? Are there policies in place that attempt to address this issue but fall short? Feel free to speak about the challenges you have experienced or witnessed in a loved-one’s life.
A current unofficial transcript from the applicant’s school (NOTE: First-year college students must submit an unofficial transcript from their most recent school, as well as an unofficial transcript from their current post-secondary institution.)

In order to be eligible, scholarship applicants must submit their FULL application (personal statement, cover sheet, transcript(s), and resumé) by email to info@lselaw.com by December 31, 2018.
