Helping businesses across various industries scrutinize which software is ideal for meeting their goals, we at Wheelhouse understand what it means to strive for nothing short of the very best.

Wheelhouse is proud to announce our Fall 2019 Scholarship Essay Contest! Over the past year, we’ve awarded $4,000 in scholarships to our essay contest winners, and we’re excited to be offering 3 scholarships for the Fall 2019 semester.

We are currently accepting essay submissions from all undergraduate students, regardless of their area of study or socioeconomic background.

We’ll award 3 deserving winners with scholarship funds you can put toward your studies:

1st place: $1,000 scholarship
2nd place: $750 scholarship
3rd place: $500 scholarship
For a chance at winning one of our scholarship prizes, you will need to write an original essay (750-1000 words) on one of the two topics provided. Please read each section below carefully, choose your topic, and start writing your way to a scholarship prize from Wheelhouse!

You have until November 29, 2019 to submit your essay, and the 3 winners of the wheelhouse scholarship will be announced on December 16, 2019.

Essay Topic 1: The Changing Landscape of Business Communications
Business communication technology has evolved tremendously in recent years, and leverages the connective power of the internet to provide companies with robust communication services that are key to business growth. As a result, many companies are switching from their legacy landline phone system to the more convenient and VoIP Phone Systems now offered for businesses of every size and stage of growth.

The revolution of business communication tools is only expected to continue. In this essay topic, we want you to explore the changing landscape of business communications and explain how VoIP software will continue to evolve over the next 5 years.

Essay Topic 2: How Can Small Businesses Benefit from CRM Software?
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software has been revolutionizing how companies gather, store, and track valuable customer data for well over a decade. Each year the technology continues to become more powerful, user-friendly, and affordable for companies in every stage of growth. CRM solutions are quickly becoming a business software must-have for organizations of all sizes, and many companies are even implementing them much earlier in their development than ever before.

In this essay, we’d like you to explain all the benefits that a small company can achieve by implementing a CRM system early on in their business.

Essay Guidelines and Submission Instructions:
Write a 750 to 1,000 word essay on one of the two topics provided above.
Linking instructions. Include a couple of links to the Wheelhouse page in your essay, hyperlinked under text relevant to either the VoIP page (for Topic 1) or the CRM page (for Topic 2). We’ve linked to our page in the essay topics above as an example.
