Maná Scholarship Program

Maná, in partnership with Selva Negra and Univision Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist students who identify as Latino and who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
Applicants to the Maná Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

Identify as Latino and be between the ages of 18-35 years old as of the application deadline date
Be U.S. citizens, legal residents of the U.S., or undocumented residents of the U.S., including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $10,000 award. Up to fifteen (15) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable and are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, an essay, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Maná, or Selva Negra and Univision Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Recipients will be invited to attend a Maná concert in December.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late November. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the sponsors. Payments are made in equal installments in August and December.
Be high school seniors or graduates, or current college undergraduates
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year
Only the first 1,000 applications submitted will be considered.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document(s):

Current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.
Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
