The Educating Our Youth Scholarship

Virginia criminal defense lawyer, Mary Nerino, cares about today’s youth. Before her career as a criminal defense lawyer, Ms. Nerino spent time as a teacher in a Washington D.C. public school and continues to believe in the importance of education. Children today face challenges that may not have existed just a few years ago, which shouldn’t prevent them from receiving an education.

The Educating Our Youth Scholarship will be awarded to one student who thoughtfully describes the importance of education and explains steps that can be taken to ensure that every child has access to education. Ms. Nerino believes that educating and empowering today’s youth is an important cause because of the impact an education can have on a child. Whether you want to pursue a career in education or just feel strongly about this matter, we encourage you to apply for this scholarship and share your thoughts on educational recognition. The winner will be awarded a $500 scholarship to help them accomplish their educational pursuits.
