About
1st-Art-Gallery.com continues its $1000 annual scholarship for new, current, and returning college students! This scholarship is designed to help a student become successful in a career focused on one aspect of art or design. Applicants will be able to submit their entry along with a design, drawing, film, artwork, short story, poem or literally any type of art they are most proud of. The winner will be selected by the end of June and the winner will receive $1000 towards higher education. 1st Art Gallery is the largest producer of Art Reproduction as well as made to order Custom Oil Paintings. Each month we create hundreds of copies of paintings by the Old Masters such as Bouguereau, Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Launching in 2018 we will also allow anyone to buy and sell original art at our very own market place.

Eligibility
The following people are eligible for this scholarship:
1. High school students graduating this calendar year and have been accepted into a college, university, trade school, or design school.
2. Students currently enrolled in a college, university, trade school, or design school.
Guidelines
1st Art Gallery wants to enable Art and Liberal Arts students (all disciplines) to further their education. Art students need to submit a piece of art that makes them proud. This can be any type of art submission including (but not limited to) a painting, photograph, statue, song, animation, video, film, illustration, story, poem or any other type of art. Liberal Arts students should apply with a recent sample of their writing, on any subject, limited to 2000 words.

Submission Deadline
The scholarship is annual. The yearly deadline for submission is June 1st and the winner will be selected in the month of June. The winner will be contacted by early July. The winner must reply within two weeks or a new winner will be selected.

Q: What disciplines are eligible?
A: Arts – fine arts, music, performing arts, visual arts. Natural science – biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, earth science. Social science – anthropology, economics, geography, political science, sociology, history. Languages, linguistics, literature, mathematics. philosophy, psychology, religious studies.
Q: How many awards are you giving?
A: One per academic year.

Q: What is the deadline for submission? Is this a yearly scholarship?
A: The scholarship is annual. The yearly deadline for submission is June 1st.

Q: Does 1st-Art-Gallery have a history of this sort of scholarship support?
A: This is 3rd year we’re giving a scholarship and we’re planning to award it for many years to come.

Q: Will the information provided by students as part of the application be used in any way other than as part of the scholarship selection process?
A: No, the information will remain confidential and after a recipient has been selected, it will be destroyed.

Q: Will you own the rights to all art submitted for the scholarship?
A: No, we will not.
