Davis Property Management Scholarship

Do you have an interest in real estate regardless of major or academic pursuits?!?! At Davis Property Management we applaud and respect your choice and want to help you achieve your goal academically.

To that end, we cordially invite you to enter our 2021 Davis Property Management (DPM) Annual Scholarship Essay Contest.

Essay is due June 30th, 2021

1st Place — the winner will receive a $1,500 check payable to them that can be applied towards tuition and school necessities.
2nd Place — the runner up will receive a $500 check payable to them that can be applied towards tuition and school necessities.
3rd Place — the third placer will receive $250 check payable to them that can be applied towards tuition and school necessities.
The winners will be announced on July 20th, 2021 and all winning essays will be published on our website.

Essay Criteria
Each submission should be between 750 and 1000 words in length. The topic of the essay should be related to careers in the real estate field. The essay should target and benefit anyone who wants a career in real estate that is just getting started or hasn’t yet begun. It should speak to these individuals who don’t know much about Real Estate.

Topics or suggestions could be- skills critical for all real estate professionals including but not limited to the skills needed as a real estate agent, property manager, appraiser, maintenance technician etc. How can these skills or networks help save time and money?

Other topics to touch on include programs and certifications that are important for those entering the real estate field.
Essays will be judged based on the level of helpfulness they can deliver as well as their tone and sincerity. Essays should have proper spelling, punctuation and grammar, and sentence structure.

Eligibility Requirements
Any undergraduate or graduate college student who is currently enrolled in college may apply. Applicable programs, but not limited to, programs include:

Political Science
Real Estate
Real Estate Capital Markets

*Employees, family members and friends of employees of Davis Property Management (DPM) are not eligible to participate in this program.

Submission Process
Your essay should be written and saved in Microsoft Word, and submitted via email to scholarship@davispropertymanagement.com no later than 11:59 PM PST on June 30th, 2021.

Name your file in a way that includes your last name, first name, and name of school you are currently enrolled in. For example, you may name your file in this fashion: BROOK_JASPER_UNIVERSITY_OF_DENVER.doc

Include “DPM ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP ENTRY” in the subject line of your email. In the body, include the following:

Your contact information (Full Name, Email address, Telephone Number, Permanent Address)
Name of School
Name of Education Program (if applicable)
All entries will become the sole property of Davis Property Management and may be disseminated with no compensation to the author.

Payment will be distributed in the form of a check on July 20th, 2021 to the winner. Funds are unrestricted. Upon submission the essays are property of DPM.
