Jean & Dave Franckowiak
Jean & Dave Franckowiak Endowed Scholarship
Dave received a Bachelor’s in Accountancy from DePaul in 1984, and a Master of Accountancy, with concentrations in Finance and MIS, in 1985. His wife Jean also received her Bachelor’s from DePaul in 1985. When he was deciding where to attend college, Dave believed he could get a better business education in downtown Chicago, and chose to attend DePaul University.
Today, Dave is a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller for middle market and private equity owned portfolio companies. He started his career in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has held senior financial executive roles for various private equity companies, including a custom closet leader in Chicagoland and a premier manufacturer of industrial springs, fasteners, machined parts and flat-stamped spring-related products.
Jean is a Senior Manager in account management, servicing national accounts for a dental third party administrator.
Dave believes an accounting education from a great institution such as DePaul is the best foundation for any business career. To live this core value, he has been on the Ledger & Quill board since 1994 and currently serves as President. Dave is also an Adjunct Professor since 2002. They established the Jean & Dave Franckowiak Endowed Scholarship to help students afford an accounting education at DePaul, and to encourage top students to choose the School of Accountancy at DePaul University.
