Neal Davis Law Scholarship Essay Contest

Studying at the University of Texas not only prepared Neal Davis academically, but gave him the opportunity to meet his mentor, Dick DeGuerin. His collegiate experience shaped the lawyer Neal would become. What better way to pay that forward than by creating a scholarship opportunity for others?

To enter our scholarship essay competition, answer the following question in 500-750 words:
How has the #MeToo movement changed how schools deal with and talk about sexual assault on campus, and what approach in your view would best balance a victim’s right to justice with an accused’s right to due process/fairness?

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. resident or resident alien who is registered at a U.S. college or university.
  • Essays must be unique (not submitted elsewhere) and written by the scholarship application signator.
  • All submissions should be in English.

    Only one submission per student will be considered.

Scholarship Selection Process
Judges will examine all entries received by the deadline above. Entries will be judged on argument presented as well as reader-friendliness for online audiences. The winner will be selected and notified up to 6 weeks after the submission deadline. One winner will be awarded the scholarship amount, and notable entries will also be published on the Neal Davis Law website.

All scholarship entries submitted to Neal Davis Law, along with all copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights associated with the submission, become the property of NealDavisLaw.com. By submitting an entry and the signed application form, you acknowledge that Neal Davis Law will own all rights to publish and promote the content. All entrants also agree that they consent to the use of their name, the school or university they attend, and the use of their likeness (as in a photograph) and prize information.
