LGBTQ Studies Creative and Scholarly Works Contest – Graduate

The LGBTQ Studies Program’s Graduate Creative and Scholarly Works Contest is open to all DePaul graduate students, regardless of home college. We accept essays and projects in the interdisciplinary field of LGBTQ Studies. Submissions may come from any discipline, and they must address a topic, theme, or issue relevant to LGBTQ Studies. Works can be research-based essays or creative writing, as well as work done in other media such as film, design, or web pages. There is no length requirement. In addition to a $250 cash prize, the prize-winner will be recognized at the Annual Lavender Graduation. Submissions may have originated within a course or outside of a course.

In order to qualify:
Essays must be 25 pages or less.
The work must be previously unpublished work.
Visual art must be accompanied with a short, written explanatory statement.
Submissions may not contain any names on the body of work — anything with a name will be disqualified.
