General Summary:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work 8 hours per week during the school term (11 weeks per quarter = 44 weeks/year)
2. Assist faculty/staff with setting up nursing labs and clinical simulations
3. Facilitate open lab hours (equipment set-up, tear-down, etc.)
4. Serve as student tutor
5. Assist with Community-based Service Learning program
6. Assist faculty with scholarly projects through library research and other tasks
7. Act as student ambassador for open houses/orientations
8. Other relevant duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Expectations:
1. Motivated
2. Able to take direction, prioritize, complete and follow up on multiple assignments relatively independently after training
3. Prompt and reliable; excellent attendance, punctuality, and work ethic with high productivity
4. Flexibility in taking varied assignments and working as a team member
5. Computer skills including but not limited to Excel, Powerpoint, Word programs
6. Ability to perform a thorough and reliable health science literature review in a timely manner
7. Approachable with excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
8. Presentation skills including clarity, thinking on one’s feet, responsiveness, collegiality
9. Maintain strict confidentiality of all communication with students, staff and faculty.
