Rasmussen & Miner Personal Injury Scholarship

Rasmussen & Miner is proud to be an established law firm providing essential legal support to accident victims throughout the Salt Lake City area. We have seen countless accident victims overcome the enormous hurdles that often accompany a personal injury. We strive to provide victims with trustworthy legal counsel that will help them regain control of their lives, but we also understand that the consequences of such a tragedy can extend for years after the event itself.

As a small law firm that is dedicated to investing in the future of our community, we would like to offer a scholarship opportunity to students who have been directly impacted by a severe personal injury in the past. We are proud to offer a $1000 scholarship to one student who shows exemplary dedication to their education in spite of their setbacks.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must:

• Be enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.
• Be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Be able to show proof of admission or attendance (e.g., a transcript or acceptance letter) at an accredited educational program, as stated above.
• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident in the United States.
• Have suffered injuries resulting from one or more of the following events:
  Car, truck, train, bus, or motorcycle accident
  Pedestrian or bike accident
  Medical malpractice (including hospital negligence)
  Pharmaceutical malpractice

Application Requirements
Please submit the following documents in order to be considered:

1. An up-to-date resumé or C.V.
2. A current unofficial transcript from the candidate’s college. Incoming first-year college students may submit a current unofficial transcript from their high school and a copy of their college acceptance letter (PDF preferred).
3. A brief essay response (750-1000 words) addressing the following:
   Tell us about your experiences dealing with and recovering from your personal injury. How has this tragedy affected your life? What setbacks have you encountered and how have you overcome them? How might your injury impact your educational/professional goals?

Application Instructions
In order to be eligible, scholarship candidates must submit their FULL application (written essay, transcript, and resumé) via email. Applications missing any of the required materials following this deadline will not be considered.
