Simulation Lab GA
General Summary: The Simulation Graduate Assistant supports all simulation activities for the School of Nursing. This position will report directly to the Simulation Coordinator and take direction from the Simulation Technician. The aim of this assignment is to introduce graduate assistants to simulation. This includes set up and take down of simulations, cleaning and organizing equipment, assisting the coordinator in running the simulations as needed and other assigned duties to support the use of simulation in the MENP curriculum.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support courses with skills/ simulation
2. Liaison to the students, clinical instructor, and course instructor
3. Provide simulation coordinator with quarterly schedule of availability to assist simulation activities.
4. Assist with skills review, skills, and simulation experiences
5. Prepare, set up, and clean up skills and simulation labs
6. Run simulations as needed. (GA must have completed the course that simulation is in)
7. Clean and maintain equipment and manikins as assigned
8. Organize and inventory supplies on a quarterly basis
9. Set up/clean up after each assigned simulation
10. Assist with conducting pilots simulations
11. Participates on the simulation council as student representative
12. Transcribe and tabulate simulation data
13. Enter data into Docucare
14. Conduct simulation lab tours
15. Report GA hours to appropriate personnel
16. Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Expectations:
1. Be able to work 8 hours per week each quarter
2. Complete all assigned GA hours
3. Expected to commit to the work schedule approved by the simulation coordinator
4. Successful completion of course(s) assisting with simulation
5. Works well in an autonomous and independent environment
6. Communicate with simulation coordinator to determine needs of the simulation labs
