Checks and Balances Scholarship Contest

The jury trial system is a vital part of America’s system of checks and balances. Checks and balances create a strong judicial system within our government which relies upon a jury trial option. The Founding Fathers believed that jury trials prevent tyranny by allowing the citizens serving on the jury to be the final decision makers.

Jury trials are unique to America’s democracy and justice system, and are a constitutional right not found in many other countries.

The best written and most compelling essay will be selected by the team at Denver Trial Lawyers and the winner will receive an award of $2,000 to be put towards their law school tuition.

In addition, we will publish the winner’s essay on our website and share it through all of our social media channels.
