Internship Plus Scholarship

Each quarter, the Internship Plus Scholarship supports DePaul University undergraduate students who are working in a quarter-long, unpaid internship. To help offset some of the costs associated with an unpaid internship, the Internship Plus Scholarship awards up to $2,500 in financial assistance to eligible undergraduate students working in a quarter-long unpaid internship.

To be eligible to receive this award, students must:

• Be a current undergraduate student, enrolled full time and at least sophomore standing. Applicants must be returning to the college
after the completion of the internship. Students graduating at the end of the quarter for which they are applying are not eligible.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0.
• Be working in an unpaid internship, recording a minimum of 80 hours over the course of the 10-week term.
• Neither receive any other scholarships or awards for this unpaid internship opportunity nor have received previous Internship Plus
funding.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of how their internship is supporting their career plan.
• Demonstrate financial need both through your application responses and as determined by DePaul’s Office of Financial Aid and can
provide a breakdown of costs associated with working an unpaid internship.

To apply for this scholarship, you must answer the following questions completely in short-essay format. A large part of our assessment will focus on how this internship will impact your career plan, skill development, and learning goals. Your responses must be well thought out with attention to detail.
