SmartStart Personal Finance Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial support to college students with an interest in personal finance. Any undergraduate who has a 3.0 GPA or higher and is interested in continuing their financial education may apply for this scholarship.

To apply, please visit the SmartStart scholarship page on bold.org and hit “apply now.” There, you’ll be asked to answer the following essay prompt with a 700-1,000 word essay:

What is the best piece of financial advice you have received, and how do you plan to utilize that advice throughout your college career and beyond?

The winner of the essay contest will receive $5,000 to put toward their college tuition. The application deadline is June 1, 2023, and winners will be announced on July 1, 2023.
