Lori L. Holland Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Funded in memory of Lori Holland, an alumna and former chair of the university’s Board of Trustees, this award provides recognition and financial assistance to students in the Richard H. Driehaus College of Business who are majoring in Finance or Finance Honors.

Lori Holland’s legacy is tied to her commitment to building opportunities for women in the fields of finance and investment management. Prior to her passing in 2020, Lori had recently retired from a successful career with Neuberger Berman, where she served as managing director for institutional client services. She was also an adult student and first-generation college graduate who believed deeply in the transformative power of education. The Lori Holland Scholarship for Women in Finance and Investment Management will be awarded annually to 1-2 students who embrace Lori’s dedication to improving the position of women in the field of finance and investment management.

Award recipients will also be recognized at the 2nd Annual Females in Finance Summit: Introducing the Lori Holland Initiative for Women” on May 8, 2024.

In order to be eligible for this award, students must be: Current undergraduate pursuing a career in finance; Enrolled in classes for the quarter in which they apply/for the quarter immediately following the distribution of the scholarship Special consideration will be given to adult students, female-identifying students and students of any gender who have demonstrated an interest in improving the prevalence and role of women working in the finance industry.
