Douglas E. Kuthy Estate Planning ScholarshipEligibility:
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
Submit proof of acceptance into an accredited undergraduate program in pre-law or a related field, or proof of acceptance and enrollment in an accredited law school for the Fall of the scholarship year.
Demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the undergraduate level.
Requirements:
Applicants must submit the following documents by June 1st, 2025 to be eligible for consideration:

An up-to-date and completed resume.
A 500 to 1,000-word essay, typed and single-spaced in 12-point font, on a topic related to the student’s intended practice of law.
Complete and up-to-date certified school transcripts from high school (for incoming college freshmen) or college transcripts (for all others).
An acceptance letter from a U.S. accredited college or law school.
Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card).

Award:

Scholarship funds are designated for tuition and associated expenses, including living expenses, books, and supplies.
A $500 check will be issued directly to the recipient(s).
Recipients must comply with IRS and state taxation regulations, submitting relevant receipts and proof of fund use.
Notification of award selection will be communicated via email and/or phone call around August 2025 and the award on September 2025.
Recipients must agree to publicity use of their name and likeness and submit a video acceptance at the time of the award announcement for marketing purposes.
