Balough Endowed Sustainability Scholarship

Summer research scholarship for undergraduate students. This fund is to give students the opportunity to access transformational sustainability-related research experiences and provides a summer stipend for the recipient. ENV has an endowed fund for student sustainability experiences from a generous donor.

The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide stipends to undergraduate students demonstrating financial need who are participating in a faculty-mentored research experience, internship, study abroad, or other forms of experiential learning on the topic of promoting suitability of the environment, at the discretion of hte Chair of the Department of Environmental Science or the Chair’s designee.

Preference shall be given to students participating in a learning experience with a global learning component. Additional preference shall be given to students majoring or minoring in a program in the Department of Environmental Science and Studies.
