Grace School of Applied Diplomacy Study Internship Scholarship

Majors capped at $2,500 and minors capped at $1,025.

This scholarship is critical to The Grace School’s commitment to supporting the learning experience of DPL students taking on internships, and the Applied Diplomacy program’s emphasis on the transprofessional nature of diplomacy. The Grace School of Applied Diplomacy (DPL) internship scholarship is awarded to part-time or full-time undergraduate (majors, double majors or minors) or graduate students in DPL who are in good standing. Preference is given to those not currently benefiting from a full tuition scholarship or another scholarship for this endeavor. Students must have also completed core DPL coursework or at least one core DPL class within the past three quarters. If a student is newly enrolled in the DPL program, current DPL core course enrollment can also count towards this scholarship eligibility. Students performing their internship (paid or unpaid) at DePaul, for a DePaul department, are not eligible to apply. There are multiple scholarships per quarter. The internships must take place in Academic Year 2025/2026 and are not for Summer 2026. Students may pre-apply for funding for internships within Academic Year 2025/2026, and scholarships will not be disbursed until the awardee provides the internship employer’s contact information. This scholarship application should correspond to an internship opportunity of 100 hours total, or as close as possible to that time commitment. The internship must be related to the student’s academic skills or interests. This scholarship is competitive, and students must provide robust answers to the application questions.

Financial need is not a requirement for this award.

By applying for this award, you certify that you have read the information in its entirety and understand the guidelines.

If the student fails to complete the internship in a satisfactory manner as outlined by the department, the award will be rescinded, and the student will owe the university that amount. For this reason, students must be certain they understand the requirements of the internship prior to accepting the scholarship.
