Scholarship at O’Brien & Eggleston PLLC

O’Brien & Eggleston PLLC is excited to announce its annual scholarship, available to students who will be attending school in the fall of 2026 as either pre-law undergraduates or first-year law students. This $1,000 scholarship aims to assist students with the expenses associated with attending a school anywhere in the United States.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
Applicants must have been accepted into a school and will be attending as either pre-law undergraduates or first-year law students in the fall of 2026.
Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Application Requirements:

Applicants must submit the following by February 15th, 2026:

A completed resume.
A one to three (1-3) page typed essay on a topic of their choice related to the area of law they intend to pursue.
A complete copy of their school transcripts.
An acceptance letter from a school within the United States.
Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc. Social security cards will not be accepted.)

Award Details:

The scholarship is to be used exclusively for school tuition and related expenses.
A $1,000 check will be made payable directly to the award recipients to cover these expenses.
Recipients are expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.
The scholarship award recipient will be notified of their selection on or about February 28, 2025.
