Open to those in an accredited undergraduate nursing program

Eligibility
To be eligible for the KURU Footwear The Next Step Spring 2026 scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a US citizen
Be an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior entering the Spring 2026 semester
Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
Pursuing a degree in nursing or enrolled in a nursing program
Be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university for the Spring 2026 semester
Submit a 200-300 word essay answering the following question: “Every nurse’s journey begins with a single step. What are the steps you’re taking now to prepare for your nursing career, and how do you see yourself making a difference in the future?”
Selection Process and Notification
All applications will be reviewed by the KURU Footwear Scholarship Committee. Once the winner has been determined, they will be contacted by KURU Footwear, informed of the scholarship award, and asked to sign an acceptance letter. The winning applicant will be announced Friday, January 9th, 2026.

Step 1
Write a 200-300 word essay answering the question: “Every nurse’s journey begins with a single step. What are the steps you’re taking now to prepare for your nursing career, and how do you see yourself making a difference in the future?"

Step 3
Submit your application no later than Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:59 PM PST. Late applications will not be accepted.
