Sue Gin Scholarship
The Sue Gin Scholarship Program provides full financial support (tuition, fees and housing) to incoming undergraduate students who are high achieving, first-generation or who have overcome significant social, economic, or educational barriers in pursuing higher education. The scholarship program will foster transformative opportunities that empower students to thrive academically, socially, and professionally. Rooted in nationally recognized student success practices and Vincentian Personalism, this program will provide scholarship recipients with wraparound support and enrichment experiences. Participants will benefit from structured academic guidance, intentional community-building, leadership development, career readiness preparation, and opportunities for global engagement—all designed to ensure persistence to graduation and long-term success beyond DePaul.
The Sue Gin Scholarship is renewable on an annual basis, up to four consecutive academic years, given that recipients meet the academic and program expectations.
Scholars must be enrolled full time and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
To be considered for this scholarship, your completed application must be submitted by the deadline (January 15, 2026, 11:59PM Central Standard Time). Review of applications will be done on a rolling basis, so it is recommended to submit your application as soon as possible!
The Sue Gin Scholarship cannot be combined with another Donor-funded Freshman Scholarship.
