Stroleny Law Defenders of Justice Scholarship
To support students who share our passion for criminal justice, Stroleny Law is opening the Defenders of Justice Scholarship, a $1,000 opportunity awarded to one selected winner per semester. The funds from this scholarship can be put towards schooling costs, including tuition, class materials, and other expenses directly related to the pursuit of a degree. Applications must be submitted before the final due date of August 5, 2026.
Students interested in applying for the Defenders of Justice Scholarship must meet all of the following criteria:
- You must be a current law or pre-law student with aspirations to become a defense attorney or prosecutor.
- You must be currently interning for or previously have interned at the office of a state attorney, public defender, or private criminal defense firm.
- You must be at least 17 years old.
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
Application Materials
Applicants must respond to the following prompt in approximately 500 words:
Describe your internship and the duties you performed. What did you learn during that time, and how has it changed your perception of criminal justice?
We require all students to submit proof of enrollment at an accredited university or law school, along with a letter of recommendation from the office where they have interned or are currently interning.
