DePaul Academic Scholarship Reinstatement Appeal

Academic Year 2026/2027 DePaul Academic Scholarship Reinstatement Appeal Form

Academic scholarships may be renewed for up to four consecutive years (12 quarters) of undergraduate study if you maintain good academic standing. You must be enrolled full-time each quarter and earn at least 36 quarter hours for the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters.

If you feel that exceptional circumstances kept you from meeting the above renewal requirements of your scholarship and you have a solid plan for corrective action, you may appeal for the reinstatement of your scholarship. Please use this application to explain the circumstances and submit any supporting documentation. Please complete your General Application and sign the Scholarship Connect Consent Statement before completing this appeal. To head there, click on “My Applications” on the top left corner of this page and click on Finish under the General Applicaitons title.

Please understand that submission of an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement. The Office of Financial Aid reserves the right to deny an appeal, reinstate at a reduced amount, or change the source or type of funding of the original award in the appeal process. Once your appeal is submitted, students typically will receive a decision within 7-10 business days, but as these appeals contain special circumstances of varying degrees and during periods of high volume, it may take longer.

This appeal is specifically regarding the following undergraduate scholarships:
State Scholar Plus Scholarship
Presidential Scholarship
Provost Award
Dean’s Scholarship
DePaul Scholars Award
St. Vincent DePaul Scholarship
Catholic Heritage Scholarship
Chicago Promise Scholarship
Vincentian Award
Cristo Rey Commitment Award
Global DePaul Scholarship
Transfer Admission-Based Scholarships: Transfer/Phi Theta Kappa/DAPP/Chicago STAR/Heritage Scholarships

Please note: if you are not currently meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) you may also be ineligible to receive the rest of your financial aid including Federal Student Aid such as Federal Direct Loans and State/Federal Grants. If that is your situation, please visit the University’s website for information on how to submit a SAP Appeal.
