Charles Melvoin Endowed Scholarship

To provide recognition and financial assistance to continuing undergraduate students enrolled in the 2020-2021 academic year (as a sophomore, junior or senior) in the School of Accountancy and MIS.

One merit-based scholar will be awarded the sum of $2,000 during the first year of the gift. Assuming notable academic performance, that student will be awarded an equal amount for the remaining three years of the undergraduate program.

An annual symposium is organized by the Dean or his delegate and known as the “Charles Melvoin Ethics Research Symposium.” The symposium provides an opportunity for the discussion of ethics in business.

At the conclusion of the Symposium the three students whose papers and presentations are determined by the screening committee to be most worthy of recognition shall receive an appropriate certificate and cash award of $1,000 each for scholarship support during the spring quarter.

Please note: Participation in the symposium is required if selected to receive this award
